The idea behind the Army's Indo-Pacific air attack plans

All of the Pentagon's resources will have to be deployed

hostilities ever arise between the US and China.

The Army purchased the V-280 Valor in part

because of the possibility of a Pacific War

but as Rebecca Grant of the Lexington Institute suggests below

the service's strategies will ultimately determine the outcome.

The Army noted that it requires "tactical maneuver at operational

strategic distances" when announcing the winner of its Future Long Range Assault Aircraft contest

Although it can be applied to many different parts of the world

a review of the budget request for fiscal 2025 reveals that FLRAA will be a crucial component of the Army's Indo-Pacific strategy.
